Fix It Right Once, Not Every Season

Asphalt damage spreads fast in Bastrop County. Heavy rain soaks through open cracks, softens the base, and traffic pumps it out until a pothole appears. Summer heat then dries and shrinks the surrounding pavement and the cycle repeats. Bags of cold patch buy a few weeks. A proper hot-mix repair buys years.

Saw-Cut & Full-Depth Patching

We saw-cut damaged areas into clean, square sections, remove the failed asphalt and soft base, compact new base, and fill with hot-mix asphalt rolled flush with the surrounding pavement. Straight, sealed edges keep water out of the seam.

Pothole Repair

Potholes in drive lanes and entrances are a liability for businesses and a tire-killer for homeowners. We repair them permanently, and we look at why they formed, usually drainage, so they do not come right back.

Crack Sealing

Routing and filling cracks with hot-pour rubberized sealant is the cheapest way to extend pavement life. It keeps water out of the base and pairs well with sealcoating.

Edge & Apron Repair

Crumbling edges are common on rural Bastrop driveways built over sand without edge support. We rebuild the edge with proper base and backfill, and repair broken aprons where your drive meets the road.

Repair or Replace?

If damage covers a small share of the surface, targeted repairs make sense. Once alligator cracking and potholes are widespread, the base has usually failed and patching becomes a money pit. We will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on, and if replacement is the better value, we can quote a new driveway or parking lot.

Asphalt Repair & Patching FAQs

Is a cold patch good enough for my pothole?

Cold patch is a temporary fix. It usually loosens within a season in Texas heat and rain. A permanent repair saw-cuts the damaged area square, removes failed material, compacts the base, and fills with hot-mix asphalt that bonds to the surrounding pavement.

What causes alligator cracking?

Alligator cracking, the interconnected pattern that looks like reptile skin, almost always means the base underneath has failed, usually from water getting in. Sealing it will not hold; the area needs a full-depth patch.

When should cracks be sealed?

As soon as they are wider than about a quarter inch. Open cracks let rain soak into the base, which is how small cracks become potholes after a few Central Texas storms.
